Conversation(s) During the Ride Home from Primary School
by Rosemary Royston

What if the only food in the world was   (were)

spaghetti?

What if it rained pickles?

What if it rained pennies?

                                                            (You’d need a stronger umbrella!)

What if there was (were) a tree

that grew dollars and you could only

(How will l pay the painters?)

pick a dollar if you were going to

(When will they be done?  Where are the
                                                             results

save the dollar and every time

                                                            from my mammogram?)

you did this another one would

(What in the world will we have

grow back?

                                                            for supper?)

Spaghetti.
