Alexander's Song
by Rebecca L. Roos

Tonight I held you in my arms

I felt your little heart tug at mine.

Your arms tightened around my neck as if I might be lost…

So I prayed, the sun would not rise

The moon, not fade away

Nor the stars loose their sparkle…

For when tomorrow comes you will be a man

And your grasp will loosen…

But tonight you are mine…

And I am not letting go…

Rebecca L. Roos, an aspiring writer, simply and genuinely addresses the day-to-day emotions of herself and others. She is the proud mother of two girls and one boy.
