QUARTERLY SHORT FICTION WRITING CONTEST

Fiction writing at its best! Enter our quarterly short fiction writing contest with winners announced in March, June, September and December. Winners will be published on the announcement date; however, individual winners will be contacted before that date.
 

First Place -   $100, story at online magazine and a complimentary copy of print magazine your story appears in.

Honorable Mention -  Story at online magazine and a complimentary copy of print magazine your story appears in.

Payouts will be made within two weeks after publication via business check. 

Contest Submission Guidelines
 
1. Fiction stories must be between 800 to 1,500 words. Any story exceeding the 1,500 word limit will automatically be disqualified.
 
2. We accept submission payments online. Your entry must be made no later than the final day of the contest. Any entries entered after that date will be disqualified.
 
3. Each entry fee is $10 USD, and you may only enter one story per contest.
 
4. Entry fee is payable through Pay Pal. (see below)
 
5. The work you submit must be your own. If your submission is a reprint, the original publisher must be given credit. That information will be collected at the end of the contest, along with your bio.
 
6. Entries are judged based on content, originality, style, and technical skills. Proofread your work before submitting!
 
7. Write about any topic, any genre. (No Children's Stories Please)
 
8. Judging will be done by the MWLM editors.
 
9. International entries are welcome, provided Pay Pal accepts your currency for conversion.
