Hailey’s Comet
by Nanette Guadiano-Campos

She stole my breath
With tiny kisses
Made a ring around me
Out of roses
And fairy dust
Turned my night into morning
And my mourning to dancing
With tambourines of butterfly wings
And a voice of honey
Spun a web of silken gossamer
Out of eyes so gold
They could be stars
Or comets
Leading me back
To where I began
In the beginning
