An interview with Elizabeth Pantley
Elizabeth’s ideas and advice are based upon real life and experiences. She talks to and interviews real families for her books. She uses real life situations for examples on what to do and not to do. She shares stories and fears from her own life to help parents learn and become the best. Elizabeth Pantley is a Mother, a wife, a presenter, a parenting expert, and the author of many best selling parenting books. She is down to earth and full of life. She is strong yet as gentle as her expert sleep solutions. After a book signing and presentation Elizabeth was thanked by the store's owners for her incredible efforts at connecting with the parents attending. She sat down and got to know the parents in attendance. Not only did she present to them, she talked one on one with them and answered their individual questions. Rather than being the elusive expert, Elizabeth exhibits her ideas by being one of the Moms. Moms are always sharing ideas and learning from each other. Elizabeth just brings a much bigger repertoire of ideas to a conversation. Most Moms have their own experiences – Elizabeth has those as well as experiences of many families she has worked with. Elizabeth is a work from home writer with four children. While on this media tour her husband Robert and daughters Angela and Vanessa were at a ball tournament, her son David is answering her reader letters, and her son Coleton is enjoying time with his brother and Grandmother. While she has written many best selling books, this is Elizabeth’s first big book tour. She is first and foremost a Mother and made her decision around her children. She chose not to do them until her children were older. This did not effect her book sales at all. I felt truly inspired to see that she has been able to achieve her dreams yet make her role as a Mom the basis of her expertise. When Coleton was younger and she was requested to speak at an event she said, “Yes IF my son and mother are also brought along.” The fact that no one refused her request exemplifies her status as a parenting expert. I think that in her own words, Elizabeth Pantley can inspire us all as mothers who write, “I have the pleasure of writing about my favorite topic, and the fun of chatting with people every day about our children and calling it work!”

The pride on Elizabeth Pantley’s face as she talks about
her children is positively inspiring. I knew I was talking to a true parenting
expert when her pride as a parent shone through in all her comments and
information. Being a parent can be the hardest job in the world and being a
parent expert almost makes one feel the need to be perfect. However being
perfect is not inspiring. Most of us find perfect people make us feel less than
worthy. Fellow Mom writer, Elizabeth Pantley inspired me because she is an
expert and she is real.
