EDITOR'S NOTE
Dear Reader,
I'd like to welcome you to the first issue of The Mom Writer's Literary magazine - a collection of mom writers. We feature writing by mothers on the ups and downs and many challenges of motherhood. We publish creative nonfiction essays, columns, book reviews, and profiles about mom writers. Our philosophy is simple - Motherhood is worthy of literature. We are a literary magazine for mothers with something to say. We're proud to have published essays that are poignant, vivid, and down-to-earth. We are proud to honor the fulfilling and tedious work that women do by making their stories visible through print.
In this summer issue, we feature an amazing collection of mom writers from all over the world. Mom author, Elizabeth Pantley, talks to us about her new parenting book, The No-Cry Sleep Solution for Toddlers and Preschoolers, while Christine Louise Hohlbaum, author of the newly released S.A.H.M I Am, tells us what it is like being a mom writer in Germany.
The MWLM is also proud to announce our quarterly fiction writing contest. Winners will be published on our site in September, December, March, and June. Please see our submission guidelines to enter.
Coming in September - The MWLM Blog!
Happy reading and writing. Enjoy our summer issue!
