QUARTERLY SHORT FICTION WRITING CONTEST

Fiction writing at its best! Enter our quarterly short fiction writing contest with winners announced in March, June, September, and December. Winners will be published on the announcement date; however, individual winners will be contacted before that date.

Payouts will be made within two weeks after publication via Pay Pal or business check. 

Contest Submission Guidelines

1. Fiction stories must be 1,500 words or less. Any story exceeding the 1,500 word limit will automatically be disqualified.

2. We accept submission payments via regular mail or online. By mail send to:

Your entry must be postmarked no later than the final day of the contest. Any entries posted after that date will be included in the following contest. When your payment is received by MWLM, we will email you for an electronic copy of the entry. It must agree with the version you mailed in to us. Any changes and you will be disqualified.

3. Each entry fee is $10 USD, and you may enter as many stories as you like.

4. Entry fee is payable through Pay Pal. You may also mail in a check or money order to the above address.

5. The work you submit must be your own. If your submission is a reprint, the original publisher must be given credit. That information will be collected at the end of the contest, along with your bio.

6. Entries are judged based on content, originality, style, and technical skills. Proofread your work before submitting!

7. Write about any topic, any genre.

8. Judging will be done by the MWLM editors.

9. International entries are welcome, provided Pay Pal accepts your currency for conversion.
